King’eero Police Station gets new block

King’eero Police Station in Kabete Sub-County has received a significant infrastructure upgrade following the commissioning of a new administration block aimed at strengthening security operations and improving service delivery.

The facility was officially opened on February 27, 2026, by Kabete Sub-County Police Commander SSP Peter Kimotho, alongside Fireside Group Engineering Solutions Chief Executive Officer Rebecca Wanjiku. The project was completed through a partnership between the National Police Service and the private firm.

The modern administration block will house the Deputy Officer Commanding Station (OCS), Anti-Crime, and Petty Crime offices. Police commanders say the new space is expected to streamline daily operations, enhance coordination, and create a more conducive working environment for officers.

Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, SSP Kimotho described the project as a major step forward in strengthening grassroots security.

“This initiative is a pillar of a safe and civilised society. Improved infrastructure directly impacts how effectively our officers serve the community,” he said, while thanking Fireside Group for supporting the project.

Fireside Group CEO Rebecca Wanjiku said the development reflects the company’s commitment to responsible corporate citizenship. She noted that collaboration between private institutions and public agencies plays a crucial role in improving accountability and public trust.

“When private entities work hand in hand with public institutions, the impact is tangible. We are proud to support initiatives that improve service delivery and benefit the wider community,” she said.

The commissioning ceremony was attended by several senior officers, including King’eero OCS CI Francis Mberia, Muguga OCS CI Samwel Khaemba, Uthiru OCS CI Isaac Simotwo, King’eero Base Commander CI Esther Chebii, SOP Kabete CI Joseph Waithaka, and SOB Kabete CI Stanley Mbuvi.

Fireside Group was also represented by Senior Manager Martha Njuguna and Technical Director Joseph Kamau.

Local leaders described the project as a clear example of how community-focused investment can strengthen public institutions. The new block is expected to improve coordination in crime prevention efforts and enhance responsiveness to residents’ concerns.

With improved facilities now in place, King’eero Police Station is better equipped to serve the growing population of Kabete Sub-County and reinforce law and order within the region.
