Former President Uhuru Kenyatta has announced that the Jubilee Party will contest all elective seats in the 2027 General Election, signaling a full comeback for the former ruling party.
Speaking during the party’s Special National Delegates Conference (NDC) at Ngong Racecourse on Friday, September 26, 2025, Uhuru affirmed that Jubilee is preparing to field strong candidates across the country.
“Like any other political party, we shall be preparing for the next general elections and doing so in earnest, and it remains our firm intention to field the best possible candidates for all elective positions,” Uhuru said.
The former Head of State also welcomed a recent court ruling that reinstated the party’s leadership, terming it a turning point after years of wrangles. He described the ruling as a “happy day” for Jubilee and a chance to rebuild.
“Politics is about the collective will of the people through the ballot box. It is my hope from today that we shall see the end of machinations and the beginning of a truly democratic process,” he told delegates.
Uhuru further urged members to remain united and avoid bitterness, stressing that the party’s future would be determined by delegates and the people, not a few individuals.
The declaration marks Jubilee’s strongest signal yet of readiness to reclaim its place in Kenya’s political landscape ahead of the 2027 polls.
