138 cartons of counterfeit liquor seized in Ruiru police raid

Police in Ruiru have confiscated 138 cartons of counterfeit liquor following an intelligence-led operation in Gatong’ora.

The liquor, packed in assorted brands, was discovered inside a premises where it was being illegally distilled. Investigators revealed that the counterfeiters were reusing bottles from well-known alcohol manufacturers to deceive consumers into believing the products were genuine.

Authorities fear the fake liquor was already circulating in the market, exposing unsuspecting consumers to severe health risks due to its unregulated and potentially toxic nature.

During the raid, one suspect was arrested and is set to be arraigned in court. The premises owner remains at large, though police have intensified efforts to track them down.

The seized liquor has since been sent to the Government Chemist for analysis to determine its chemical composition and possible health dangers.

Speaking to journalists, Ruiru Deputy County Commissioner Julius Too praised the community for sharing vital intelligence that made the operation possible. He urged residents to remain vigilant, avoid unverified alcohol, and report suspicious activities, warning that counterfeit liquor continues to pose a grave public health threat.

  1. What resonated with me most was your point about the importance of small consistent actions. It’s easy to overlook how these tiny steps accumulate over time. Your personal story really brought this home in a way that statistics alone couldn’t.

  2. The other day, while I was at work, my cousin stole my apple ipad and tested to see if it can survive a forty foot drop, just so she can be a youtube sensation. My iPad is now destroyed and she has 83 views. I know this is entirely off topic but I had to share it with someone!

  3. You actually make it appear really easy with your presentation but I in finding this topic to be actually something that I feel I’d never understand. It sort of feels too complex and extremely huge for me. I’m looking ahead for your subsequent submit, I will attempt to get the hold of it!
